Yeah so I 'm doing some pretty interesting (at least I think) things this summer, and I've some cool things already.  The day after school ended (yeah I'm still in school, Smiley lol) I left with my dad, brother, and my stepmom to go to Gattlinburg (sp?) TN and the Smokey Mountains.  (does Smokey have an "e" or not?)  We ran around there for 7 days (I think) and then came home.  Then last Sunday (the 21st I think) I left for girl's hockey camp at Penn State.  That was really fun and I loved it.  On Wednesday (July 1st) my dad is having a small get-together with his hockey buddies for Canada day.  Whoo!  This coming Thurday/Friday we're going to my Aunt and Uncle's house to spend the night.  That should be fun, maybe my cousin will be home from college!  And we get to swim in their pool.  Two or three times over the summer I am also going to go to my grandprents house or cabin to hang out with them and my cousins.  Lastly (I think) I am going on a cruise with my brother and mom in August Up the New England coast to Canada and back  The school starts again!  Yup so lots of fun.  Plus I will hopefully be hanging out with my friends and just chilling.  Whoo, summer. now I have to go mow the lawn.  Smiley  Byes...

Well, I'm a high school librarian and computer teacher so I am on summer vacation right now.  However, I have to spend time this summer learning a total of 4 new computer programs in order to teach 2 different courses during the coming school year.  Should be interesting as one of the programs is PhotoShop CS 2--I know the very basics like how to resize a picture so it'll be good to learn more.

I'm sticking to promise I made myself--going over to school 3 mornings a week to use our weight room.  I've been working out "with" the football team since October--IE, they're using free weights while I'm using the trwadmill and bike and weight machines.  It's nice going in the AM, b/c I usually have the room to myself, so I'll be really spoiled once school starts again! LOL

My roomie and I will be taking a few short trips--right now I think we have 2 trips to Pittsburgh planned.  Yes, to look for Penguins stuff....

Well, lets see...i've been busy, busy, busy.  First of all there was college graduation for a few of my friends...then after that i took a trip to go record a CD in memorial of my father's passing last year.  Just got the first samples of that print in the mail today (of which i'm very happy...) and getting ready to visit my mom and grandmother this Thursday for a couple of days.  I plan on giving them both the first copies of my CD and then going through some stuff of my dad's.

Also, went to LA to play for a friend's wedding and it was ungodly hot there.  Around 100 degrees with about the same amount of humidity!  I can't believe that people live there on purpose...ugh.  (lol...don't get offended if you live there and are reading this...haha) Smiley

Went on vacation with the family to AZ earlier this summer and we had a great time!  Smiley Just got a chance to kick back, relax, and do a whole lot of nothing!  It was GREAT and we loved every minute of it!

The rest of the summer?  Well, i'm an IT guy, so i'm going to spend the rest of the summer prepping lab machines for the fall and getting ready for the huge influx of new students that the network will need to handle.  Re-image a few servers...setup a new anti-virus server, etc...just fun, fun stuff! Smiley

Hope you all are having a great time!

Cool, sounds like you guys are going to be having a lot of fun.  Smiley

I went running with the cross country team today, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm trying to work out more this summer.  Or more regularly anyway. IDK when the weight room is open at our school...I would feel weird being in there with all the football guys anyway.  I know I'm so pathetic.  Sad

Trust me, I'd rather be in there with the football team than with girls from track or something.  The boys have a routine to follow, at least 2 of the coaches are there keeping them on track, and on the board is the day's workout they are to do.  I have had a couple of the football players in classes, which helps b/c the one kid always says something to me when he sees me in there.  So they do their thing usually on one side of the room, and I'm on the other side...plus there are 2 other women who come in tho they are only there half the time I am. I actually think the football players like to see us inthere, b/c I know alot of them at least nod at me in the halls or even say hello.

On the flipside, I was in there one day when the track team was to come in at 4:15 (a day when the football team was off) but they started coming in by 3:45 and the stupid coach was so wimpy, he had no clue about any of the machines.  "OK, just do whatever you do and don't overdo it..." and then the girls were just running around like fools grabbing the machines.  I wasn't done but I quickly got sick of them looking at me and getting in my way!
